A little street near Angkor Wat |
One of the things I miss most about Cambodia is the life and atmosphere on the streets. In Siem Reap it was very much a tourist focused town, so the streets were lined with massage opportunities and tanks of fish that would nibble on your toes, the highly popular "fish foot massages." Phnom Penh was very different yet still teeming with culture and life, all of which I soaked up and now miss very much! Since returning to Australia I have noticed how quiet and dull it can be!

I've always wanted to try a fish massage!
ReplyDeleteThey're pretty crazy! I am glad I tried it, but I would never do it again! I am too ticklish!

Looks great! Those are the fishies that nibble at your skin right? I experienced those in a little creek/gorge in South Africa, but there were very few and they were very small. It feels so weird though right!
ReplyDeleteThey sure do nibble on your skin! It is the strangest feeling ever, so weird! :)

I've heard of those fish foot massages and I was terrified! Haha! I was like WHAT? They eat at your feet?! That's the most bizarre thing! Was it nice? Or just plain weird and uncomfortable?
ReplyDeleteHaha, the concept really is, uh, bizarre. I personally would not describe it as nice - it was ticklish, as though someone with long nails was scratching your feet, between your toes...and the bit that grosses me out the most is how many people must have had their grotty feet in that tank water?! Eugh...
