Liebster Award and Versatile Blogger Award

I have been really blessed to be given two more awards from Staring at Paper Faces and Escaped Potato. Since I have written about these awards a couple of times I won't really tag anyone else or state a heap of facts, however as part of the Liebster award there are a couple of questions which I think will be fun to answer.

1. Who inspired you to start blogging?
Frangipani Princess was probably the main blogger who inspired me to begin a blog but there were also a couple of people I knew who had blogs and I figured if they could do it I could too!

2. Can you play any instruments?
This questions makes me sad! I would desperately love to be able to play an instrument. I tried piano when I was really young but I had a horrible teacher who kind of put me off the idea of learning an instrument from then on. If I could play any instrument I would choose the Violin or the drums, though guitar and piano would probably be the most versatile and 'useful.'

3. What would your dream job be?
This question came up the other day - I do not recall why! I have been thinking about it and I honestly cannot think of an answer. I'll keep thinking!

4. Do you have any pets?
I have a Golden Retriever. I think he has made some small appearances on my blog once or twice, but just for fun I'll let him feature on this post!

5. What is your favourite song at the moment?
Without a doubt, Breath of Life by Florence and the Machine

6. What is one beauty item that you couldn't live without?
Lip balm

7. How long does it take you to get ready in the morning?
Ten minutes to get dressed/select my outfit, five to fifteen minutes for makeup (depending on whether it is a weekday or weekend), 100 years to dry my hair if it has been washed...

8. What is the best advice you have ever been given?
Be yourself because that is who you are.

9. What is your biggest fear?
This is getting deep! The death of friends and family is pretty scary.

10. What is your favourite beauty brand?
I have really been getting into Face of Australia lately, although Essence is pretty cool too.

11. How long have you been blogging for?
Just over a year, with a one year anniversary giveaway to celebrate!

2 more blog awards!

I have been lucky enough to be granted two awards from Alia at Taking over the world a pair of shoes at a time, and from Ira at Ira's. These are the Liebster award and versatile blogger award respectively.

Each of the awards have set rules but since I have been blessed to receive these two awards before, I'm going to change them a little.

 Liebster Blog Award

Each person must post 11 things about themselves.
They must then answer the 11 questions given to them from the person who tagged them.
They must create 11 more questions for the people they tag.
They must then choose 11 more bloggers (I'm going to cheat and choose only three) who they then pass the tag onto.

So, 11 things about myself. This is hard because in the other awards I have listed things about myself too, but I will give it a shot.



1. I am left handed.
2. I always cry in sad movies.
3. Public speaking doesn't bother me.
4. When I'm alone I sing really loudly to the radio.
5. I do not own an umbrella and do not intend to buy one.
6. I really want to travel overseas to do some volunteer work.
7. When I have spare time my favourite things to do are read and write.
8. I try to appreciate the small things in life, like smiles, letters and compliments.
9. My favourite flowers are daffodils and gerberas and I own a small venus fly trap!
10. Four qualities I really admire are compassion, determination, love and understanding.
11. I often ask 'would you rather questions' and 'if this happened, how would you respond' questions.

Now to answer Alia's 11 questions:

1. Who's your favourite blogger. I'm sorry but that is an impossible question! Each blogger is different and each has a reason as to why I like them so much.
2. What are your favourite posts to read? My favourite posts to read are product reviews, NOTD posts (mostly because I can't do any of them!) and 'top 5' posts.
3. If you could go anywhere right now, where would you go? Anywhere warm!
4. If you could go on a shopping spree with anybody, who would it be? All of my closest friends, what fun!
5. Hidden Talent? Sadly, I do not possess any hidden talents.
6. Favourite pair of shoes? My slippers/ugg boots.
7. Favourite clothing store? Cotton On.
8. Did you watch the hunger games? I certainly did, though the books were so much more enjoyable in my opinion.
9. What are you collecting? Well it's not that I am intending to do so, but I am slowly but surely developing my makeup collection. I also collect handwritten notes, letters and other important and sentimental documents.
10. Celebrity crush? Emma Watson and Florence Welch.
11. Favourite bag? This one in the picture to the right. So cheap and a no-name brand but has been with me for ages.

Sunshine Award - A burst of happiness for your day!

Jasmine from Sweetaholic beauty (an amazing blogger by the way) passed this award on to me which I was so excited by because it is so different - rather than seven 'facts' about you (which I can never come up with) you are to list ten things that make you happy (awesome!). 1. Receiving hand written letters at the end of a long day. Instant mood lifter!

Versatile blogger award

I have been awarded the versatile blogger award! Michelle from Grace and Glitter (a blogging newbie but incredibly good one at that) passed this on to me which was lovely of her.

I am to share seven facts about myself then pass this on to five other bloggers. I had trouble finding seven more facts (I think this is the fourth award I have received so that equals a lot of facts!) but here they are:

1. I have never ever had a spray tan - I am happy with my pale self. (Okay, okay, the real reason is that I have only ever seen spray tans go wrong on other people. I am not a fan of the oompa loompa look! Being pale doesn't actually bother me that much either.)

2. I could waste (well, it wouldn't be wasting, would it) a whole day just watching beauty youtube videos and reading beauty blogs if I was given the chance.

3. My most neglected beauty product is highlighter/illuminator. I love the stuff but rarely wear it.

4. I never wear eyeshadow primer. Eyeshadow just sticks to my eyes like glue, and I am crossing my fingers that it doesn't change any time soon.

5. The biggest beauty crime I have ever committed is...probably untamed eyebrows. Yeah...it was a little out of control there for a while!

6. I have never straightened my hair (it's dead straight)

7. I almost never buy products full price - with Priceline around you can guarantee there will be a sale within a month or two.

So that was my seven facts, now I must pass this award onto five bloggers. I really tried hard to pass this on but I read so many blogs I just cannot pick! Keep writing the awesome posts you guys all write because I love reading them, and hopefully it makes you happy!

Versatile Blogger Award

Okay, I know I have been a bad blogger. Kayla from Kayheartsmakeup awarded me with this award on the 2nd of February, and I haven't made a post about it until now. I am so sorry Kayla, and I hope you understand that I really, really appreciate it. The reason that I haven't made this post is because a lot has been going on lately and everything has been a little out of control, but hopefully everything will calm down and get back on track.

Okay, onto the award.

There are three different aspects of the award that need to be addressed - thank whoever gave it to you, share seven random facts and then pass it on to seven other bloggers.

Right, seven random facts. I think I will make them all beauty related because I have shared seven random facts before when I received the "Tell me about yourself award."

1. The first beauty product I ever had was a strawberry lipbalm
2. The beauty product that I love but always forget/can't be bothered/don't have time to use is...blush
3. If I had to live off one beauty product for the rest of my life it would be a tinted moisturiser or tinted lipbalm
4. The product that surprised me the most was...the Avon colour trend fruit lip balms (and not at all in a good way!)
5. My all time favourite lipstick colour is...oh this is hard. Nude? No, light pink, no nude, no...
6. Eyeliner hates me.
7. The product that hasn't arrived in Australia that I am most desperate to try is the Revlon Lip butters.

So, there we have it.

Now for the dilemma. I am supposed to pass this on to seven other people...I always find that only two people take any notice, which is often because they have received a million other awards. In the spirit of Valentine's day, I think I will just shout out to all of you whose blogs I read and share the love with you all. I love coming home from a loooooong day, getting on the computer and catching up on all your posts, it is just awesome. So thankyou everyone!
