When I compiled my favourites for this month I realised how girly they all looked, pink, pink and more pink! June has been an incredibly stressful month, finding out some bad news from doctors about my Mum's health (she has breast cancer and the treatment she has to have is pretty upsetting), experiencing 5 year 11 exams and preparing for a two week mission trip to Cambodia. Phew! I am glad this month is over.
Here are the products I have turned to.
Face: Since the arrival of my Real Techniques Stippling Brush, I have rediscovered my love for cream blushes as they are now so much easier to apply and work with, and I have remembered the incredible, natural, long lasting finish they give in comparison to powder blushes. I am in love again with my Australis creme blush in Dusky Rose, as indicated by the strange pattern that has been left in the blush as a result of the stippling brush!
Eyes: Though the Essence eyeshadow in Cappuccino Please is not at all what I would consider my favourite eyeshadow in my collection, many times this month I have picked it up for a highlight shade or all over the lid shade. I don't know why I have suddenly found it so appealing but I have certainly been enjoying using it!
Nails: As you may have noticed, I have gone crazy with FOA NOTDs lately, mainly due to my 75c haul (I promise I will shut up about it one day!). Last month featured Heart of Glass, and this month it is it's pastel cousin, I'll take you to the candy shop.
Lips: My most used lip product this month was the Australis Colour Inject lipstick in Boogie Woogie. I haven't yet written a review about it (it's coming!) but it's a lovely rosy pink shade, nothing crazy but nothing hopelessly boring either, just an everyday nice kind of pink - even nicer considering it was $5.
Other: Of course my last favourite for this month is the previously mentioned Real Techniques Stippling Brush. It's is amazing, it really is. I haven't tried using it for anything else but cream blushes but I adore this. Get it now!
Lastly, just a little side note - for those of you who signed up for B.liv samples when I posted this here, you should have received an email asking you to confirm it and then it will tell you when to expect your samples. I know that they were flooded with requests but you should have managed to get a set if you signed up within a couple of days of seeing that post.
That is all for my June favourites. I am incredibly excited because I am flying out tomorrow to Cambodia for 2 weeks (more about that tomorrow) but just to let you know I have scheduled posts and will alter the comment settings so that your comments post immediately. Try not to miss me while I'm gone! :)
Oh no! That's terrible news about your mum. I really hope she makes a speedy recovery and all goes well with the treatment. My aunty had lung cancer and sadly she didn't make it. So many people's lives have been affected by cancer.
ReplyDeleteOn a more joyful note though, the stippling brush just applies cream blush so effortlessly! Oh and I haven't received an email about the B liv samples - hopefully I'll get one soon though :S
Thank you lovely :)
DeleteMan the stippling brush is just amazing! Naw really? That's so rubbish that you've not yet received an email. Fingers crossed that all of you who signed up get one soon!

How strange, I don't think I received a confirmation email from b.liv! :(
ReplyDeleteAnd so sorry to hear about your mum! :( But on a brighter note, have fun on your mission trip!
Lovely faves, I agree about cappuccino please. It's not my fave eyeshadow but I use it quite a bit for all over the lid.
Thanks Sheri - my trip is going to be incredible :)

:'( I'm so sorry to hear the bad news about your mum! I hope everything goes well with the treatment!
ReplyDeleteOn another note, great favourites! The Australia blush looks lovely, I must give it a try! :)
Thanks Dawn!
DeleteThe Australis blush is the most beautiful colour. The only problem I have with it is that is it quite a hard consistency - in order to use it with the stippling brush I have to warm it up a little first. Other than that it is absolutely brilliant.
xx
I'm so sorry to hear about your mum, my thoughts are with the both of you, and your family. *hug* I hope all goes well.
ReplyDeleteI love your favourites though, I need to use that Real Techniques brush! And oh gosh, Cambodia! How exciting! Can't wait to hear more about it! xx
Thank you dear Jasmine :)
DeleteYou really do need that RT brush!
xx

ReplyDeleteWishing for the best for you and your family!
(please try not to stress too much :( I stress a lot and it's really bad for my health)
Great post on some of my favourite products! I've been looking out for those pastel polishes and the Heart of Glass polish you've featured last month (I'm in love with pinks!). Waiting until there's a sale so I can pick them up :)
Have safe and lovely trip to Cambodia!
Thank you Melissa, we are doing our best :)
DeleteOooh you must find some of the pastel and Glitterati polishes! I am crossing my fingers for another sale too!
Thanks a bunch for your thoughts and kind words.

So sorry to hear about your mother, Candice. I hope you and your family are staying strong! My heart goes out to you. <3 Are you going to be taking your camera with you on your trip to Cambodia?! That's amazing! I still haven't been able to track down I'll Take You to the Candy Shop by FoA but I'm on the lookout. And I didn't receive an email from B.liv but I understand sometimes free samples can take a while to get through the process of.. because it's free! Haha. Stay strong, Candice!
ReplyDeleteThank you SO much Rebecca. I sure will be taking my camera with me on my trip! It seems like many of you are interested in the trip so I might post some pictures when I return. I hope you can find 'I'll take you to the Candy shop' because it is oh-so pretty. Naw I'm really cross that people haven't been getting their B.liv samples :(
DeleteThank you for your support and kindness.
xx
Hey Candice :)
ReplyDeleteI'm really sorry to here about your mum. I hope she makes a fast recovery.
I've always wanted to try out the essence eye shadows but I never ended up getting one. I think I might just try that Cappuccino one. Is there any other ones that you would recommend?
-Sophie xoxo
Hi Sophie. Thank you for your kind words. I haven't actually tried very many of the Essence eyeshadows, but you might be interested in one of their Quads (I have To Die for and I really quite like it).
