For today's Behind the Blog post is Melissa from Her Beauty Days. Melissa is a Sydney blogger who has just started her blog so make sure to make an extra special effort to check out her blog!
So far her blog consists of haul posts, reviews, beauty subscription box reviews and swatches.
I spoke to Melissa about her signature makeup look, if she could design a perfume and what makes her happy.
Why did you start blogging?
I’ve been admiring various blogs from afar for a short while before I finally caved in and started my own blog. Blogging is a means of communicating with others with similar interests and to share my “journey”, delving into the depths of the “beauty world”. I love sharing my opinions and experiences – in hope that they will be beneficial for others and be of assistance for girls with the similar “beauty profiles”. I’m still in the process of experimenting with different products – finding what works for me and what goes with what. It’s great to document these things down to share!
Blogging is fun and is also a great therapeutic leisure activity for me!
What is your signature makeup look?
Currently, I’m aiming towards a fresh and healthy look. I use BB creams instead of foundations; I’m working with fuller brows with flushed cheeks and reddish-pink lips.
I love experimenting with makeup looks so my signature makeup look can change from time to time!
I haven’t travelled the world extensively to answer this. There are so many beautiful places in the world that can easily be my favourite! I love a lot of places – ranging from the busy streets filled with the hustle and bustle of everyday life to the secretive serene tropical paradise escapes!
If you had your own perfume, what would it be called?
“Happily Ever After”. I would love to be associated with a beautiful perfume that can empower women to be happy, sexy and have their own “happily ever after” ending. You can be whoever you want to be and just celebrate your individuality! A perfume that can do that will be so amazing!
Do you speak any other language? If you could, what language would you love to speak?
Vietnamese is my mother tongue.
I learnt German in one semester at University; although I love it, the grammar is much more complicated than English. I hope to speak German at a proficient level one day!
What are some things that never fail to make you happy?
Proud parents, family dinners, achieving what was expected to be unachievable and the company of family and friends.
