Revlon Colourstay Mineral Bronzer - Deep Bronze

I was recommended this product by a friend. At first glance, I was very skeptical, in fact, so skeptical I refused to buy it (it seemed a little pricey for the amount of product you got). Disgusted by my refusal, my friend actually bought it for me. After trying it out, I paid her back. It's not bad.

First of all, it seems really small. The size of the actual bronzer is a tiny bit bigger than a 50 cent piece. Even worse than that though, is the brush. What a joke! Seriously, what is the point of putting it in there?! It's not like you can actually use it!

I was afraid of looking dirty and muddy, because my friend bought it for me in the deepest colour, and my skin is quite fair. I found that the colour barely showed up! I layered heaps of it on and it still was super subtle. It was a bit of a waste because you just couldn't see it. I required so much product that I felt as though I had used half of it up in one shot!  It's supposed to stay on for up to sixteen hours, but I really don't think that it did.
I found the packaging quite sturdy, which is interesting because I know others found it flimsy and that it broke within a few uses. I didn't like how it spread all over everything when you used a bigger brush. There was heaps of fallout all over everything which was frustrating. It would have been better if it was set in a tub/pot kind of container.
If I rubbed my finger directly onto it, it felt kind of dry and gritty and horrible, however when I wore it on my face it was fine.
All up I would give this product 6 out of 10.

  1. Is this baked? In that case it would feel hard in the container and have low pigmentation.
I can't wear bronzers since I already have golden kind of colored skintone. So, I prefer 'bronzers' in gold which really flatters me :)

  2. There was no mention on the packaging about it being baked (but since it was hard and had low pigmentation I came to the conclusion that it was), so I looked it up on the internet and found out that it was in fact baked. Next time I won't get a baked one I don't think!

  3. I am not a great fan of baked cosmetics. I got a blush from Bourjois, and although it's lovely, etc, the same problem. Not working for me :(
