Essence Haul - Lips, eyes, nails and face products!

When I was in Target the other day I found a heap of Essence products that were calling out my name and so I decided to splurge and spend a total of...$15.55! Yes, it was a big day for spending that day!

I ended up purchasing five very different products, all of them completely unplanned purchases (except for the eyebrow gel) but wonderful all the same.

The first item I spotted was the Ready for Boarding Lip and Cheek creme in Sending you Kisses. This was lurking in the bottom of a bargain bin (the limited edition range is no longer being sold, it's a miracle I actually found it!) with a price sticker of $4.95. I was thrilled to have found this because I missed my opportunity when it was being sold and really regretted not picking it up, and then to find it today was just so very lucky! Even luckier was when it scanned for $3.71.

I then ambled over to the Essence stand and noticed the Snow White collection and immediately the nail polish in Evil Queen caught my eye. It has a clear base with large, purple, hexagon shaped glitter that is really lovely. I actually don't have many glitter polishes in my collection - certainly not a purple one - so this found its way into my basket. This cost me a total of $2.96.

I then remembered that I had run out of my Clear brow gel, a product that I use every day, and so I picked another one up for $2.96.

I then saw the lipliners (something I had never ever taken any notice of) and remembering Dominique (from DOMMsmiles) having used them in a few of her videos I decided to go for it and get one for only $1.46. I got the shade 'Cute pink,' perhaps the lamest name I have ever come across, but it is a lovely shade.

I then went and scanned all my goodies at the price checker, and realising that there was some kind of sale on I decided to take advantage of it and pick up an Essence Quattro eyeshadow in the shade 'To Die For.' I have no idea how this will go, but the shades within it look lovely and for the price of $4.46 what is there to lose?

So there is my Essence haul, I am really looking forward to trying out some of these products and I'm baffled at how cheap it was!

    1. It is rare, I don't think I've ever seen a sale on Essence prior to this one. I guess it doesn't really matter too much because Essence's regular prices are so cheap anyway! I've used the blush a couple of times now, both on the cheeks and lips. I love it!

    1. There sure are some goodies! :) Out of all the Snow White polishes this was the only one left. I thought that was a bit strange but it suited me because this was the one that I wanted! Shame you weren't able to get one :(

    1. I'm wearing the polish on my toes right now with a purple base coat and I think it looks wonderful! I have very few glitter polishes so this was a perfect addition to my collection! I'm really impressed with Essence because it is so cheap but the products are pretty good!

    1. I know, isn't that crazy?! I love the fact that you can purchase a whole face worth of makeup from Essence for the same price as say...a Revlon foundation! It's wonderful!

  6. What a great bargain for a haul! The Ready for Boarding Lip and Cheek creme looks quite promising and I can't wait for a review on it :) How does the eyebrow gel perform? I haven't used anything like that on my brows before and wonder if I should try it!

  7. It was a bargain! I was so excited about the lip and cheek cream, I'm pretty pleased with it after having used it. I'll get on to the review ASAP :) As for the eyebrow gel, I really like it because it does a great job at keeping my brows in place but isn't too sticky/rigid and certainly does not make my brows look un natural or overdone. I think for the price you really can't go wrong!

  9. I love how you can buy a heap of Essence products but the total is always really modest :) It's splurging you don't have to feel too bad about! The good stuff is always sold out at my local Essence stand - I've still yet to see the cream blush or glitter polish anywhere sadly!

    1. It's wonderful, it makes me feel so much better about purchasing Essence products on a regular basis! Ugh, such a shame you can't get your hands on all the good products. My problem is that they are usually smushed everywhere or have had sticky fingers all through them. I have to be really careful to check the product before purchasing it!
