Monthly Favourites - April

Sometimes it can be difficult writing favourites posts because I often use the same products for months on end with little variation, however this month I changed up my routine completely and wore products that I would never have picked as my first choice usually.

Face: I love my blushes, and in April my most used blush would easily have been the Essence The Twilight Saga breaking Dawn Part 2 Blush in Renesmee Red, though I still have a huge problem with the name of the product! I have used it so frequently that the latch won't close properly anymore which is a huge pain, but I guess I can't really complain because Essence products are so cheap. This is a blush where you need time and patience to apply it well, and I have been on holidays so it has been wonderful.

Lips: Sticking with the red theme, this month I wore the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Romantic non stop. I picked it up after liking my Revlon Stain in Smitten but finding it a little unwearable for everyday. Never was I a huge fan of red lips, but I am now!

Eyes: I am fairly loyal when it comes to mascaras and like to stick to my Covergirl Lash Blast Length mascara, or sometimes my Avon Daring Curves mascara, but the Max Factor Lash Extension Effect mascara that I won in Sophie's giveaway was calling my name. I have heard whispers that Covergirl and MaxFactor are the same brand with essentially the same formulas for all their products. I can certainly believe that, as this Lash Extention mascara is identical to the Covergirl Lash Blast Length one (except in brown instead of black). I love it.

Nails: As always I have decided not to go with a nails category this month because I haven't been wearing any new polishes. I chose my mini DKNY perfume in Be Delicious Fresh Blossom. I don't like it as much as the DKNY Be Delicious perfume (the green one) but it is still lovely. The only thing I can't stand about this mini size is that it hasn't got a pump and so it is impossibly fiddly to apply.

Other: Last favourite of April is my leaf and stone ring. No explanation is needed about why I love it! I am so glad I picked it up for only $2!

    1. Thank you so much! I love that it is also in the shade brown too because it is a nice subtle change and I don't have any other brown mascaras.

  13. These are great favourites! I absolutely love this DKNY perfume, I've actually been wearing it everyday lately. I haven't tried any of Max Factor's mascaras before but they do look quite promising! I adore the deep red shade of your Revlon Lip stain- it is perfect for the winter :)
