Over the past month or so I have been purchasing little bits and pieces here and there, mainly due to the amazing sales that have been going on lately! Some of these products have been on my wish list for a long time, others I randomly picked up when I saw crazy discounts on them!
Real Techniques Core Collection and Stippling Brush
I think every beauty blogger would either own or have at least heard of the Real Techniques brushes. When they first came into Priceline I was so close to purchasing them except they were so expensive. After hearing so much about iHerb, I went ahead and purchased some when they were 20% off. I was also able to get another $5 off from a discount code, so all the brushes came to a total of $21!
I will do a review on both the brushes and my experience with iHerb, but if you are interested in purchasing something off of their website you can use the code JTJ998 to get between $5 to $10 off your first purchase (according to how much you spend).
Australis Lipstick in Boogie Woogie
This is the first Australis lipstick I have ever tried and so far I really like it. I wanted to purchase the shade Honkey Tonk when Kmart was having a sale where the Australis lipsticks were $5 each but could only find Boogie Woogie.
Another purchase on behalf of Kmart, these polishes were all 75c so it would have been crazy of me to resist!
I have actually had these for quite a while now and I wrote a review on them here. Basically, I am not impressed but luckily I bought these half price so it wasn't as bad.
Rimmel London Wake me up Foundation
So many people rave about this and Chemist Warehouse had 50% off all Maybelline, Revlon and Rimmel London products so I just went for it. I think I have a shade slightly too dark for me which is a real pain but I will manage.
Mirenesse Touch on Concealer
I was lucky enough to be given this concealer from a friend. It is very pink toned and therefore I use is as more of a colour corrector under my eyes - it seems to work remarkably well. It is quite the wrong shade for me though, so once using it as a corrector I apply a bit of foundation or skin toned concealer to make it look less crazy!
On a completely unrelated note, I can't stand the weather at the moment. Winter is the most awful season! I am also having trouble getting half decent light for taking photographs, so apologies if all my photos seem all dark and gloomy!
What have you picked up lately in the awesome sales? Do you have any of these products?
Great haul hun! I really want to try the Australis lipsticks, I haven't yet.ReplyDelete
Thank you. The Australis lipsticks were on my list for so long, it is nice to finally have one!Delete
Lovely haul! I picked up a lot of what you bought also (which you probably saw in my haul)! I'm really enjoying the Real Techniques brushes - so glad I could pick them up so cheaply too!ReplyDelete
I LOVE the Real Techniques brushes so far - wasn't that sale awesome?!Delete
I really wanted Honky Tonk too, but I can't find it! :(ReplyDelete
And how soft are the RT brushes?? When I first got mine off iherb, I was feeling my brushes over and over again. I really want to get the stippling brush too!
Ugh Ikr, I hate the weather :( I want Spring again.
I can't find Honkey Tonk anywhere... :(Delete
The Real Techniques brushes are gorgeous, totally know what you mean about using them over and over for no reason haha. I have been using the stippling brush for cream blush and it makes life so much easier!
Cannot stand winter!
So jealous that you nabbed the Glitterati nail polishes for 75c each, I'm kicking myself for not knowing about the amazing deal! I love the Rimmel Wake Me up foundation- I think it's great for those with dry-normal skin types :) I adore the Real Techniques brushes- my favourite is the buffing brush to apply liquid foundation- it is such a dream to blend it into your skin! I love the brush and powder brushes that they have too :)ReplyDelete
Oh no! How frustrating :( I haven't had the opportunity to use the Wake me up foundation yet but I have heard so many positive reviews so I expect great things from it! I have used one of the brushes I picked up for liquid foundation and it is amazing!Delete
I really do want to try one or 2 of those brushes!ReplyDelete
They are brilliant, SO worth picking up :)Delete
I love my real technique core collection brushes. Plz review the rimmel wake me up foundation :)ReplyDelete
I certainly will complete a review on the Wake me up Foundation, thought it will probably be in a week or perhaps too because I need to test it out really well first :)Delete
You bought really great stuff :) I have two of the stay all day eye shadows, one of them is too dry but I love the pink one!!ReplyDelete
I recently bought real techniques brushes as well and I've been loving them since then, my last post is about my last purchase, check out if you like:)
I am SO glad I picked up the RT brushes, they're soooo good :)Delete
Lovely haul! I've bought two sets of RT brushes from IHerb and they were great, I want to get some more single brushes though! Yay for getting Wake Me Up but I hope you can make the darker shade work for you, maybe as it gets closer to summer again. I also have Boogie Woogie but keep forgetting about it xxReplyDelete
Why thank you :) I am so impressed with iHerb's prices - so much cheaper than what I could have picked it up for in Priceline. I hope that I can get away with the slightly too dark foundation - it's not atrocious but it is a little bit darker than ideal. Ooh, you must remember to get Boogie Woogie out from time to time :)Delete
Such a happy coincidence because I bought the RT Core Collection just last week! Good on you grabbing those FOA polishes for 75 cents each too :)ReplyDelete
Yay! How exciting! Do you like the RT brushes so far?Delete
Im loving the Real Techiniques brushes too and have the core set and the blush brush, and I so want more!!! And loving the Autralis lipstick too, I have a bright red one, think its called Jitterbug!ReplyDelete
They are so soft and work so well! I have seen swatches of Jitterbug and it looks soooo lovely :)Delete
I love RT brushes, they are the best! I couldn't find the FOA polishes at my kmart :( so sad!ReplyDelete
That is annoying! I am really happy with my 6 polishes, but I still have to pick up Studio 54 at the very least.Delete
